PARTICIPATION AND REGISTRATION

GCB is exclusively for those who hold the position of ultimate responsible in-house counsel within a medium-sized or large company in Belgium. This refers to individuals who report on the company’s legal risks to senior management and/or are part of that management team.

Although most General Counsel increasingly act as Legal Managers rather than purely legal experts, the size of the legal department is not relevant for joining GCB. 

Naturally, your nationality also does not matter. GCB operates primarily in English, unless a meeting is attend exclusively by Dutch speakers or exclusively by French speakers. Not sure if you fit the target group? Let us know and we’ll discuss it together.

WHAT PARTICIPATION INCLUDES

As a GCB member, you can participate free of charge in all GCB activities. This is the perfect way to quickly meet many peers and gain practical tips. All activities are announced well in advance, and you can easily register once more details are available.

As a complimentary benefit, all GCB members may attend any activities organized by our sister organization, General Counsel Netherlands (GCN), in the Netherlands free of charge. At present, GCN hosts significantly more gatherings than GCB. You can find all information about GCN at www.generalcounsel.nl

The annual fee is currently € 450,- excluding VAT (year 2026). If you register in July, August, September, or October, the fee for the remainder of the calendar year is € 225,- excluding VAT (year 2026). If you register in November or December, participation for the rest of the calendar year is free, provided the membership continues into the following year.

During the calendar year, you are entitled to:

  • Participation in the full-day General Counsel BE Annual Summit
  • Participation in the General Counsel BE Masterclasses
  • Participation in all gatherings of General Counsel Netherlands in the Netherlands
  • General Counsel BE Newsletters packed with current information, specifically relevant for GCs
